TREATING FACIAL LINES and WRINKLES WITH BOTOX AND SKINCARE

The Clinical Picture

1

Facial lines are clinically categorised into two types: dynamic and static. Dynamic lines appear only when you express emotion (like frowning or smiling).

However, repeated contraction of facial muscles (such as the glabella or frontalis) eventually creates fractures in the dermal collagen. Over time, these dynamic lines become static, meaning they are etched into the skin even when your face is at rest.

Our Medical Approach

The clinical goal of anti-wrinkle injections is not to freeze the face, but to reduce muscle hyperactivity.

Botulinum Toxin Type A:

The gold standard for relaxing muscles. It interrupts the signal from nerve to muscle, softening dynamic lines and preventing new static lines from forming.

Botulinum Toxin is a prescription-only medicine (POM). As doctors, we are fully insured and regulated to prescribe and administer this treatment. We conduct a full medical review prior to treatment to ensure suitability. Side effects are rare but can include temporary bruising or slight asymmetry, which is easily corrected at your complimentary 2-week review

Skin Boosters:

For lines that are already etched into the skin (static lines), toxin alone may not be enough. We use hydration boosters to plump and smooth these fine creases.

Prescription Skincare:

Tretinoin and other actives help to increase cell turnover, thickening the dermis and reducing the depth of wrinkles over time.

Mens Anti-Wrinkle Treatment

Because male facial muscles are stronger, they require adjusted dosages and precise placement to be effective. The aim here is not to freeze the face, but to soften the deep, etched lines on the forehead and the glabellar "frown lines" that can create an unintended look of anger or stress.

We preserve the movement of the brow to ensure your expression remains natural and masculine
