HYPER-HIDROSIS treatment WITH DR ANDY & DR ANDEW
Primary Axillary Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition where the eccrine sweat glands are over-stimulated by the sympathetic nervous system, causing excessive sweating regardless of temperature or stress. We use Botulinum Toxin to block the neurotransmitter (acetylcholine) that triggers the sweat glands, effectively "turning off" sweat production in the treated area.
Clinical Indications:
Primary Hyperhidrosis: Excessive underarm sweating not caused by other medical conditions.Social Impact:
Visible sweat patches, clothing damage, and social anxiety.
Failure of Antiperspirants: When clinical-strength deodorants are ineffective or cause irritation.
Protocol
Time: 60-90 minutes.
Technique: We map the area and perform multiple superficial injections in a grid pattern across the hair-bearing axilla
Comfort: Numbing cream can be applied beforehand to minimize discomfort from the small needle pricks.
rECOVERY
Downtime: None. You can return to work immediately.
Care: Avoid vigorous exercise, saunas, and hot baths for 24 hours. Do not apply deodorant for 12 hours post-treatment.
TIMELINE
Onset: You will notice a reduction in sweating within 3-5 days.
Full Effect: Maximum dryness is achieved by 2 weeks.
Duration: Results are long-lasting, typically ranging from 6 to 9 months, and sometimes up to a year.

Is it healthy to stop sweating? Yes. Humans have millions of sweat glands for temperature regulation. Treating the small percentage in the underarms does not affect your body's ability to cool down or release toxins.
Is it painful? The armpit skin can be sensitive, but the needles are very fine. With numbing cream, most patients describe it as a series of mild pinpricks.
