Masseter reduction involves injecting Botulinum Toxin directly into the masseter (chewing) muscle. This reduces the muscle's strength and bulk over time. We assess the muscle size and strength by asking you to clench your teeth before determining the precise injection points to target the "Safety Zone" and avoid affecting your smile muscles.
Clinical Indications:
Bruxism (Teeth Grinding): Reduces the intensity of involuntary grinding, protecting teeth from enamel wear and reducing morning jaw pain.
Facial Slimming: Reduces the width of the lower face by shrinking the hypertrophic (overgrown) muscle, creating a softer, more V-shaped or heart-shaped profile in women, and reducing excessive bulk in men.

Will it affect my chewing?
No, the masseter is a very strong muscle and other muscles assist in chewing. Reducing its bulk will not affect your ability to eat normal foods.
